Mental Health Therapist

Status:

Full-Time (30–35 billable sessions per week)

OR

Part-Time (15–20 billable sessions per week)

 

Position Overview

Mental Health Therapists at K Hawk Solutions provide compassionate, evidence-based outpatient therapy services to individuals, families, and groups.

 

Clinicians work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and support meaningful progress toward mental health and life goals.

 

Requirements

  1. Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling

  2. Licensed in the State of Maryland:

  3. LCSW-C

  4. LCPC

  5. LGPC

  6. LGSW

  7. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a therapeutic environment

  8. Knowledge of COMAR Code 10.21.20.10 regulations

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct intake assessments and psychosocial histories for new clients

  2. Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans

  3. Provide individual, family, and group therapy

  4. Collaborate with external agencies and case managers

  5. Participate in treatment planning meetings

  6. Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation

  7. Support discharge planning and aftercare coordination

  8. Ensure treatment plans are completed within required timelines

  9. Assist with chart audits and quality assurance requirements

  10. Conduct mental health evaluations under supervision when applicable

Sports Therapy Clinician

Mental Health Therapist – Sports Focus

Status:

Full-Time (30–35 billable sessions per week)

OR

Part-Time (15–20 billable sessions per week)

 

Location:

Hybrid (In-person + Virtual Services)

 

Compensation:

Competitive per-session or salaried compensation based on licensure, experience, and caseload.

Position Overview

The Sports Therapy Clinician is a licensed therapist who supports athletes and performance-driven individuals through evidence-based therapy and mental skills training.

 

This role blends traditional counseling with performance psychology techniques to help clients strengthen resilience, manage stress, and perform at their highest level.

 

Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field

  2. Maryland license:

  3. LCPC

  4. LCSW-C

  5. LGPC

  6. LGSW

  7. Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience

  8. Experience working with athletes or adolescents preferred

  9. Training in sports psychology or performance mental health is a plus

Core Responsibilities

 

Mental Skills Training

  1. Teach techniques that improve focus, motivation, and confidence

  2. Utilize visualization, goal setting, and stress management strategies

 

Therapeutic Counseling

  1. Provide individual, family, and group therapy

  2. Address performance anxiety, burnout, and emotional regulation

 

Performance & Wellness Support

  1. Help clients build resilience under pressure

  2. Support identity development and life transitions beyond sport

 

Injury & Recovery Support

  1. Assist athletes coping with injury-related emotional challenges

  2. Support confidence during return-to-play processes

 

Collaboration & Care Coordination

  1. Work with psychiatrists, therapists, coaches, and rehabilitation providers

  2. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning

 

Documentation & Compliance

  1. Maintain accurate clinical documentation

  2. Complete treatment plans and assessments in compliance with COMAR and payer requirements​​

Future Growth Opportunity

As K Hawk Solutions expands its Sports Therapy program, clinicians in this role will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from a future doctoral-level Sports Psychologist joining the clinical team.
 
This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within an innovative and expanding specialty area of mental health care.​
